Biography
Matthieu Bellec received his PhD from the University of Bordeaux, France, in 2009 for his work on laser nanostructuring in glasses. After a postdoctoral position in which he studied laser filamentation at the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser of the University of Crete, Greece, he joined CNRS as a researcher at the Institut de Physique de Nice of the Université Côte d’Azur, France. His research is focused on photonics in laser-structured complex media with a special emphasis on fluids of light and on topological photonics. Between 2019 and 2021 he was a visiting researcher at the Center for Optics, Photonics and Laser of the Laval University, Quebec, Canada.
